5.0 out of 5 stars funny
If you have a sense of humor, you'll like this one. Funny political humor that doesn't pull any punches. I think it will appeal to more liberal people, of course. However, some progressive conservatives will get the joke. Personally, I'd like to see an entire series covering more politicians and giving all of them this kind of treatment.

3.0 out of 5 stars Disappointed
Wasn't what I expected. Went beyond a good-natured poking fun at someone . . .

5.0 out of 5 stars Hysterical..., August 14, 2011

This is a wonderful piece of American political culture, and in many ways a deceptively simple explanation of everything wrong with Ms. Palin.

Should you get this? You betcha!

5.0 out of 5 stars perfect book for this politician, July 12, 2010

You betcha... a book truly befitting ol Sarah and her followers. I'm an Alaskan, and the only thing funnier than this book is Sarah herself.

I think this book is too funny! It was given to me as a gag gift (obviously, as it is a coloring book for adults) and I ordered two more for my father (an extremely hardcore republican that voted for Bush... TWICE! He knew once Palin was chosen as McCain's running mate the race was over) and one for his best friend (a hardcore Democrat like me). Every year on Christmas Eve, since I was about 11 or 12, we all go over to their house and exchange gifts... mostly gag gifts & political gag gifts (like the George W. toilet bowl brush, or commemorative Obama plate and bobble head) for a few hours of bipartisan jabs, jokes and laughter. The next morning my ribs usually hurt from laughing so hard. I know that both of them will find this as funny as I did, because even though they are on polar opposite sides of the political spectrum, both of them are intelligent enough to take it for what it is meant to be and will know that it is a joke... a coloring book aimed at adults (which in my mind makes it even funnier) poking fun at Palin. Last year I (democrat) gave my father (republican) a book called "Help, Mom there are liberals under my bed" which, like the rest in the series, actually is a real children's book (unlike this book which is obviously for adults). I gave my husband, also a democrat (I am tolerant of other people's views, but if he were a republican that would have been a deal breaker... j/k), the book "The Great Derangement", which was not a gag gift, yet still political thereby making it pertinent to the tradition. I gave my Dad's best friend (democrat) the book, "The 3 little pigs go to the white house" (re: the Bush Administration) again obviously aimed at adults.

It is a shame that most of the negative reviews came from people that are clearly right-wingers who were obviously not the intended audience. Let's be honest here, they probably never read/flipped through this comedic satire yet they wrote a review for it anyway just because they can't take a joke if it hits too close to home or is not representative of their set of beliefs. I'm not saying none of them have had it in their possession, but come on... really?! What were you expecting? Knowing your audience is just as important as knowing what audience you belong to. If you don't like chick flicks, then don't watch 27 dresses, if you don't like scary movies, then don't watch The Ring.

I take politics seriously... I really do, but if you can't laugh at both sides (I will admit that I find republican jokes funnier than democratic jokes, and I can't stand Fox News unless I'm watching a clip of it on the Daily Show) then you need to learn to relax, life is too short.

1.0 out of 5 stars Liberals putting us down, December 22, 2009
Amazon Verified Purchase(What's this?)
This review is from: Going Rouge: The Sarah Palin Rogue Coloring & Activity Book (Paperback)
This is a typical example of how liberals try to make fun of us true conservatives. We do not care about the fact that Sarah is not very bright. We do not need smart leaders; we need leaders who will make a difference and are courageous enough to make mindless statements. Because liberals are so in love with reason and logic, they do not realize that Palin's thoughts have a deep Zen wisdom, full of paradoxes that over-educated Obama-loving anti-life gay communists will not be able to understand.
One of biggest weaknesses of the book is the fact that it is not an easy coloring and activity book. We managed to do the coloring just fine. However, our family got together and even though we spent hours helping each other trying to figure out the puzzles, we were unable to solve the word puzzles and many of the other activities. We first got worried that we were not smart enough for this book, but then we contacted all our cousins, who had graduated high school. Even they could not solve the puzzles!!! This book should come with a warning that makes it clear how difficult the puzzles are.

it's a joke book about a joke of a politician. This book treats Palin exactly as she deserves to be treated, as a silly bimbo pushed on the gullible, it may be the most enduring thing to come from her "political career".

5.0 out of 5 stars Absolutely Hilarious, November 24, 2009
This review is from: Going Rouge: The Sarah Palin Rogue Coloring & Activity Book (Paperback)
Best piece of political humor I've seen in a while. The scary part is that this book is more along the eduction level of her supporters than her ghostwritten book is.

I especially love the page that asks "What will Sarah kill in 2012", it shows several different animals and one of them is the Republican Elephant. If she runs, and I hope she does, that definitely what she'll kill.

Palin in 2012...........because liberals need a good laugh.
