Not as funny as spaceballs but similar feel
Well this movie takes a claustophobic sub captain and the worst crew ever and puts them together in a sub-standard spoof of the hunt for the red october. I found it quite amusing and found it to have a simlar feel to some Mel Brooks films by the sense of humor. I think its worth a rent and see then you can decide if you'd like to buy one.

Not Cramped-Camped
Bill Pullman plays a neurotic submarine captain in this funny comedy. Reminds me of the Naked Gun movies!

Yes, I think it could. Never have I seen a more lackluster comedic film. Afterwards I really wished that I had gotten up and left, but I just didn't want to have totally wasted the money. I really should have stayed home and burned the ten bucks -- it would have been a more entertaining show.
