About the Author

Jerry VanCook has more than 30 years of law enforcement experience in various capacities. In addition to teaching police classes and defensive tactics, he has been a Special Operations Agent for the Oklahoma State Bureau of Investigations; a Narcotics Investigator for the Garfield County Sheriff's Department; and an Undercover Intelligence Officer for the Multi-County Intelligence Task Force in Oklahoma. Much of his experience includes undercover work in narcotics, stolen property, murder conspiracy and other crimes. Currently he is the Undercover and Narcotics advisor to the National Law Enforcement and Security Institute. He also writes a regular column for Close Quarter Combat Magazine.

Not only this invaluable book explains the harzards (and the thrills) of working on undercover assignments, it gives you tools to increase your chances of success in such a task. I'd suggest it to both explorers and homesteaders (read it to know more on these nicknames).
