There are over 20,000 known caves in the United States. This guide offers information for visiting limestone show caves in Pennsylvania, Virginia, New York, and West Virginia. Information provided includes cave name, location, telephone number, admission fee, and wheelchair accessibility. Preceding cavern information is some fascinating material on speleothems (cave decorations). A brief but excellent glossary concludes the guide. The author claims to have personally visited every cave in the book, and followed up with a detailed questionnaire to every cave manager just before press time. This is a well-organized, polished performance, and should be of interest to any library, especially those east of the Mississippi.
