Jaw Dropper!!, July 26, 2008
This review is from: Gojira: The Link Alive (DVD)
If you are a fan of fine HEAVY MUSIC then ye need be buying a copy of this. I have been a fan of Gojira since you could get their stuff in the states and have yet to see them live but I will not miss a live show in the future. This DVD has to be one of the heaviest, tightest and most brutal shows i've seen and i have seen the likes of Death, Carcass, Canibal Corpse, Deicide, Morbid Angel...... all in their prime (1990 to 1994) and i'm not sure any of the above could come close (except DEATH I.T.P. tour) to what i witnessed when i popped this baby in. As the show unfolded, i did not move, i just sat there, jaw wide open, while being pummeled by the aural assault that which is Gojira!

SWEET!, February 20, 2009
This review is from: Gojira: The Link Alive (DVD)
this is an awesome dvd, for its production and sound quality. but really those elements are secondary to just how awesome this band really is. I don't own many "LIVE" anything, becuase most of it is total crap. here we have an obvious exception.

Gojira - The Link Alive, August 29, 2009
This review is from: Gojira: The Link Alive (DVD)
I just knew this band about 1 month before buying the DVD, and it was enough to them to make a fan! It was about time we have a great band on this decade. Today it's getting harder to find those ''blockbuster'' metal bands like Testament, Death, Exodus, Meshuggah and many others. But Gojira is one of that bands that on the first 3 songs I listen, I became a fan already. I think probably you will love or hate Gojira. One of the band attributes that got my attention were their creativity, I coudn't remember any bands that sounds like them. Their songs are intense and had nice and sometimes melancholic melodies like Indians, but also they had agressive songs like Embrace the World. Also they had some experimental ''noisy'' tracks, the singer even did throat singing sometimes. To finish, it's a very very interesting band. Maybe the old school, more old fashioned metalheads won't like the band, but definately everyone should check them out. For a 4 cd band, they're doing quite well, the only band that has to many good songs in only 4 cds maybe is Between and Buried and Me.
