This album contains the essential recordings of one of rocks founding fathers Ellas McDaniel "Bo Diddley". His music has a distinctive sound and ranges from rock and roll, blues, and doo-wop all done with his irresistable beat. The previous reviewer mentioned problems with the audio quality but really the remastering has made this music sound better than ever. If you're a fan of his labelmate Chuck Berry or the rock 'n roll era in general you owe it to yourself to add this music to your collection.

Some Clipping Problems,

Four or five of the older songs had some terrible distortion problems at the higher frequencies. It was as if the engineer paid no attention to the meters and clipping took place. I played the CD on four different systems and two of them were audiophile systems. Amazon was great in refunding my money. Great tracks, great artist, but no so great of a recording.
