The coins aren't too shabby. The problem is that the coins shipped from seller BravoFun look more like silver than gold. I am talking like maybe 90% silver, 10% gold (yellow). On top of this they have heads on both sides of each coin. How stupid (i.e., cheap) is that? These are of the Veni-Vidi-Vici variety. I gave the product three stars, because at least the coins them selves aren't overly cheap looking as far as plastic coins go, but they don't at all resemble the picture attached to the product.

The coins are definitely not gold or shiney like the ones in the picture. They're mostly silver with a very slight shine. Also the package is tiny. You probably need to triple your order. The entire bag of 144 coins is about 4"x5"x2". I'll have to buy another ten bags. There should be a measurement from the seller of the coin size and package size, and at the very least they should use an accurate photo. I'm happy that they're cheap and arrived so quickly but I expect more accurate descriptions from amazon purchases.

These coins are 1 3/8" in diameter. They are durable and work great for play money.

I got these for a pirate party and they worked great. A few reviews here have pointed out that the coins appear more Roman. I don't really find this to be a problem since "pirates" in various forms have been around and stealing coins from darn near everyone as long as people have been sailing! Why couldn't a pirate have stolen some Roman coins? Gold is gold after all. And from the amount in this listing it would be a pretty good haul of loot too!

Worked great for a pirate party. My boys loved these and still after several years they play with them. My youngest loves to count them and the older siblings will lay out coins in groups for him to count. Pretty cute. Kids don't need much to be creative!

Received coins when promised. The coins do not look like the pictures. I was expecting the coins to be a rich gold color and there are pale and not evenly colored, missing color around the edges. This is for our families annual Halloween party treasure chest. Will need to buy gold spray paint so not as good a deal as hoped. You get what you pay for.

Grandson wanted gold coins and these were the only ones I found. Was pleasantly surprised at the quality and he loved all that gold!

Well, they are what they are--plastic toy gold coins. They're going to work perfectly for a card game I have where you use "gold pieces" to ante up in the game, though, so I guess they'll do. Don't seem very durable or hardy, but they're cheap props, so you can't expect quality workmanship out of this, especially if the whole bag is less than 5 bucks, right?

This is a great plastic coin set. I read so many reviews and got lost trying to find simple gold coins for our sons pirate chest.
Its a nice big set. They are shiney and just the right size.
Ours didn't have any rough edges as another reviewer stated. Great toy set. And a good price.

Purchased to go into a treasure chest for a seven year old, they looked really good in there with her other "treasure" and they have the right sound one would expect when running ones hand through their booty!
