Wonderful collection, January 26, 2011
I love both of these discs... can't get enough of them. Such a great collection of Nina's, and my favorite of my albums of hers. My favorite part is that it's all live (except the last song saratoga)and showcases her wonderful, amazing voice. I own a couple other 'best of' albums, and they pale in comparison to this one. Most songs are written by others, and includes a few traditional arrangments, but a few are hers. I love the 'house of the rising sun' version; 'Gin House Blues' makes me want to get up and dance; 'when i was a young girl' shows off her vibrato; in short, every time i listen to either disc, i find another song i love and wonder how it could sound so new and interesting when i obviously didn't feel that way the first time i heard it.
