Rare are movies where young adolescent girls are portrayed as independent, spirited, inventive, and adventurous all at once. Here is a movie that breaks a stereotype for young ladies. The two heroines are not chasing boys, and they are not wrapped up in traditional sex roles. This is the type of movie that sets a wonderful example for young women by portraying two strong adolescent female protagonists in the lead roles.

Anna and Christina are two of the best child actresses I've ever seen act together. This movie symbolizes the meaning of true friendship. By the way, does anyone know when and if it will come out on DVD?

I rented this yesterday and this is the second time I've seen it the first time I've seen it was on TV on ABC and let me tell you this is one of my most favorite films I've ever seen I think Christina Ricci is great in this film you should buy this or rent it it's one of my favorites if you don't get this you'll regret it believe me it is one of the best films that you've seen!!..

Have you ever found out how tough it is too find a real good movie in our days ? One that does just tell a wonderful story without anyone dying, without horror and, of course, without cynicism? Well - Gold Diggers : Secret of Bear Mountain is one of the few movies that fulfil those requirements. It's all about true friendship and it's a very emotional movie, that'll really touch your soul. It's shows that nothing on earth is worth more than real friendship and that sometimes you shouldn't trust in what others say about somebody - you might miss one of the greatest friendships ever. In my oppinion this movie is one of the best ever, and I hope that there will be a lot of similar movies in the future. I simply love it. True, clear and full of friendship. See it or die.

When I was Ricci's and Chlumsky's age, I dreamed nightly of buried treasure! 'Gold Diggers' is the story of girls with two opposite personalities who become best friends, and go on a search for gold! I recommend this highly to parents to rent or purchase for their daughters. It contains very positive and sweet messages.

This movie is all about friendship and adventure. When Beth moves to a new town, she meets a girl named Jody. Jody is not liked by many people because her mother is an alcholic and she steals. Beth becomes Jody's friend, Jody firmly believes in a woman named Molly Morgan, who was thought to have found hundreds of ounces of gold. Beth and Jody have many adventures together. This is a great feel good movie!

I don't know why I enjoyed this movie so much the first time I saw it, but it was memorable enough that, to this day, I cannot change the channel when it is on. It's definitely one of the most suspenseful kids' movies I've seen- and even if they won't admit it, I bet even adults who watch it hold their breaths in anticipation towards the end. It certainly didn't get the greatest critic reviews, but you've definitely gotta give this movie a chance- it's worth it.

In the spirit and tradition of Tom Sawyer and the quest for the lost gold this story is one of the best I've seen in a long time. Jodi is a victim of abuse who has created a world for herself away from the pains of everyday life. Her friendship with the new girl in town is the basis of this story. This is an example of an excellent character study and a delightful adventure for all ages.
