Beautiful sound and fun to watch.,

Love the bell sound and the music togather. Fun animated scene to watch. My 2.5 years old daughter play the music box everyday. You can also turn the music/bell off and just have the animated scene on or turn off the music and have the bell sound with the animated scene. The sound is crispy clear...like play a cd-rom. Just wish there is a remote control so I can turn on/off from upstair. If you can find it in Costco is much cheaper, but not a lot of this music box is in stock in the Costco warehouse. Other place online sell around $200.

I bought mine new several years ago and I had not a moment's worry since I owned it. I left it out for decoration year around and kept the dust off of it. Each time I played it I was still thrilled at the sound. Lovely sound, till this year.This year I noticed that it is sounding "tinny". I checked the chimes and they do not look dirty nor do they look tarnished. But I know that even a little tarnish can effect the sound quality so I began a search for who should "repair" my unit. So far I have turned up nothing on getting my pretty music box cleaned and sounding wonderful again. Sadly, after perhaps 4 years of "heirloom quality" it is now going to sit idle. :-( One would have hoped that for an item to be of "heirloom quality" they would have provided, at least on their website, instructions on maintaining it.

After receiving the music box as a gift, we bought three others for our children and grandchildren. Everyone loved the sparkling sound of the bells. The children sang the carols. This music box is a wonderful tradition!
