A solo album from Alec Bathgate, one-half of the quirky New Zealand creative team known as Tall Dwarfs. Like his partner Chris Knox, Bathgate has a very odd world view, but here he's musically a bit more tempered and straightforward -- it's still pretty weird, but in some ways more conventional. Originally released in 1996 on the ever-fab Flying Nun label. (DJ Joe Sixpack)
