The only 2 chunks of coal here in this collection are the Barbra Mandrell and Johnny Cash mixes. I do love Johnny Cash, but this particular track is not worthy to be on a gold collection. That goes DOUBLE for adding the B.M. track!

If they were going to do this, the Oaks backup with George Jones on
"Still The Same Ol' Me (loving the same sweet you)" would have been a better pick. Even the Oaks backing Paul Simon on "Slip Slid'n Away" would have been better than the B.M. track. Otherwise, great collection!

I did like the fact that they included "Family Reunion". This was right before they went country and were still gospel. It fits right in though since it's not exactly a gospel song.

In this collection is the very best of the Oak Ridge Boys. I agree with the other writer about the Mandrell track being included on here, but its "According" to Billboard (I'm guessing). I was very happy with set with the exception of what I thought should have been included in the collection, "Gonna Take A Lot Of River" which is available on Greatest Hits Volume 3, it would then complete THE essential Oak Ridge Boys Greatest Hits. Still, all in all, a great package for the Oaks fans... enjoy... and Stay 2nd :-)

hit of their career with very few exceptions. I hope you enjoy as much
as we did.

It includes every track from their Greatest Hits & Greatest Hits Vol.2,
plus many more. Excellent sound and liner notes.

This was a remarkable combination of albums. All my favorite Oak Ridge Boys songs were on this, such as Elvira, Dream On, Thank God for Kids, I Guess it Never Hurts to Hurt Sometimes, and Sail Away. Whether you are a long time ORB fan or new to their music, this album is a must. You will love it.

This is an album that includes virtually every big hit the Oak Ridge Boys sang. It's excellent and all are original recordings. Just what I was looking for. I really enjoyed all of the older songs too.

If you are an Oak Ridge Boys fan, you will love this album. Contains most of their All Time Classics!

Let me qualify my review by stating that I believe that the Oak Ridge Boys are one of the finest vocal groups in the history of country music.

This collection primarily focuses on the period of time in which they were generating hit after hit. If you were to only buy one Oak Ridge Boys record, this is probably the best retrospective out there - all of their most significant tunes are here. I do wish it had a little more of their gospel-era tunes, as they are wonderful as well, but after all, this is not a box set!

This group is amazing! Their voices are as strong and gripping as they ever were. I bought this CD at a recent concert and I love it! Beautiful selections, a lot of fun to listen to!

This is a great collection of the Oaks best. It includes some collaborations with Johnny Cash and Barbara Mandrell. It is truly one of the best collections of classic work from the Oaks.
