This model measures 4 3/4 inches to the top of the head.About 7 inches to the top of the Oowashi equipment in the back. 7 1/2 inches from the tip of one large wing to the other. As a model, you have to assemble it yourself. The instructions have pictures and some japanese. I love my Akatsuki model! It was a LOT of fun to put together, and despite lacking english instructions, very easy with the pictures. The only reason I took off a star was that some of the pieces I had to force together/ might require super glue to make them stay. But I still really love it!
