I like having Maggie Lane's books on chinese needlepoint. The only one I didn't have, I just ordere. I think this was my favorite book of hers. More Needlepoint Design is also a very good book. She tried to make them, I think, as copies of actual Chinese neelepoint items. There alot of nice designs in blue. It would be pretty easy to chose your own brand and yarn type. The colors used in the book are dull, but could be changed. The most color in the books was this one. There aren't complex color schemes. I haven't stitched on any of the designs because I'm not chinese, but the books are still very interesting to have in my collection. I had considere using the design on the cover. I like that one the best of the designs she has in her books. They are interesting books.
