My daughter plays Division I College Field Hockey. She played three sports in high school. Finding socks that lasted, didn't stretch out, washed well, and that she felt comfortable in was a challenge. I bought these socks for her, Christmas 2005. Today, July 8, 2006, she asked me where I got them because she likes them!

I had to hunt down my purchase online and when I found it I thought it would be valuable to write this review. She has a very strict workout regiment and these socks have held up extemely well! I've bought more expensive socks for her, but these are the best!

Pleased with the gold toe footies, I have had problems a couple of times
with them going down into my sneaker

These are very shoe liners that are perfect for those of us who have to wear shoes to work in the summer. As gold toes they are robust-I do not holes anytime soon. I highly recommend them.

I bought 3, 3-packs and wish I had gotten more. These are great. They are soft, absorbent, light, and the heel does NOT slip when I wear them with my walking sneakers. Love them!

I bought these for the Gold Toe quality, as their toes do not wear out as all other socks I've tried do in one wearing. My toenail does not cause a hole upon first wearing, so Gold Toe is excellent. BUT, I needed to replace all my thin running socks, as my running shoes are tied perfectly for thin socks. These are labeled at thin liners, but have a bit too much padding on them. I have to re-lace my shoes every time I wear these, so I am going to toss these and look for the thin ones. I also bought the "Gold Toe Women's 3-Pack Flat Knit Liner Athletic Sock", which are 60% Combed Cotton/39% Stretch Nylon/1% Spandex, and these are perfectly thin for running, with no excess padding. I am now in search of low cut socks just like the ones above.
I gave these 3 stars because they are great socks, but I would not call them liners.

I like my socks to be thin, but on top these are actually a mesh and I wear a size 9 1/2 or 10 and they're much too tight. They're not comfortable at all. I regret buying them and they only cost me about $3.00.
