The price is steep, and the CD is hard to find, but you will be happy if you can find and buy this CD! This is some of the most jouyous South African music you will ever hear. In addition to classic tracks by such well-known acts as The Mahotella Queens and Mahlathini, you will hear some great, jump-up tunes by lesser known South African groups, including The Dark City Sisters, The Soul Brothers, Specks Rampura, Reggie Msomi's Hollywood Jazz Band, Sipho Mabuse, and many others. Highly recommended!!!

This CD kept coming up on a station I created in Pandora. Couldn't find the album on iTunes, but did find it on Amazon. I bought "Golden Afrique" vols 1, 2 & 3 as well as "The Essentials Guide to Africa". Have really enjoyed the music, shuffled in with my other American music.
