5.0 out of 5 stars So in love..., April 1, 2011
This review is from: Golden Age Of Knowhere (Audio CD)
Ok guys. This band is the real deal! Mixing elements of the old and new, they've taken music to a whole different level of playing field. I've had "Golden Age of Knowhere" on repeat since the moment I got it and I don't see it being shuffled into a mindless rotation anytime soon. Not to mention the awesome Amazon price for the download!

When I heard of them I shrugged them off as another cookie-cutter band but these guys have something that the music scene has been lacking lately: vision. This album has given me hope.

I have such trouble finding modern music worth listening to. I happened to come across these guys on VEVO and liked Where Did It Go Wrong right away. Although, the guitarist sometimes does a little too much repetitive strum for my tastes, the bassplayer and keyboardist help deliver layers and a more interesting foundation to their songs. The singer does very well with his melodies, but he could stand to have more charisma as a front man and better lyrical hooks. Keep an ear out for these guys, though. They've definitely got a good thing going and have potential to deliver some more good music.

These guys are awesome. Why? Not just because I said so but since when I saw them live the band members joined together, ala Voltron, and continued to mow down listeners with rock.

5.0 out of 5 stars More than just a rock CD., April 1, 2011
This album is unbelievable. It's amazing to know that bands with some edge still exist! The feeling when I first listened to this reminded me of when i first heard Bleed American from Jimmy eat World... i thought to myself "i love this! but no one else will cause it's too hard and aggressive on some songs" and once again i am baffled/stoked as i see Funeral Party on the rise! Prepare to hear a lot more about this band... you will.

*UPDATE! I'm so proud of this band! I've been following them since the beginning... and now they are featured on the VEVO lift emerging artist program! Atta boys Funeral! If you haven't heard them yet... you will, they are taking the speakers by storm! *Also, i got to see them play with Panic! at the Disco in San Diego and they were Phenomenal!! [...]
