Golden Alaska Deep Sea Omega-3-6-9 Fish Oil 1000mg 300 CapsulesGolden Alaska Deep Sea Omega-3-6-9 Fish Oil 1000mg 300 Capsules
Product name contains Omega-3-6-9. In product description seller has mentioned details of Omega-3 fatty acids only. Product description does not have any details of Omega-6 and Omega-9 fatty acids. I have contacted this seller by phone and by email and requested detailed product description. But I did not get any reply. I kept wondering how Omega-3-6-9 capsules can be so cheap. If I really care for Omega-6 and 9 fatty acids then I would not buy this product unless I see complete description. I do not understand how can amazon allow such practice of selling medicine with incomplete product description. For Omega-3 capsules price I am rating this product as 2 star.

1.0 out of 5 stars DECEPTIVE Labeling: "3-6-9" but Contains No Omega 6 or 9!, April 5, 2011
Amazon Verified Purchase(What's this?)
This review is from: Golden Alaska Deep Sea Omega-3-6-9 Fish Oil 1000mg 300 Softgels (Health and Beauty)
This product only contains Omega 3 Fish Oil and absolutely no Omega 6 or Omega 9.
Sources of Omega-6 Essential Fatty Acids include:
Safflower oil, Corn oil, Sesame oil, Hemp oil, Pumpkin oil, Soybean oil, Walnut oil, Wheatgerm oil, and Evening Primrose oil.
Sources of Omega 9 Essential Fatty Acids (aka Oleic acid) include: Canola oil, Sunflower Oil, and Almonds. There are products available that have all three oils, and thy're labeled as such. Unfortunately, this is not one of them.

If you ONLY want Omega 3 Fish Oil, this product is the best value. However, to actually name the product "...369" seems almost fraudulent.

I've been taking this fish oil for almost two years now and I absolutely love it!. It is high in potency and does not leave you with any fishy after taste. My whole family is now taking it and we are all feeling it's benefits. This makes me happy since we don't eat a lot of oily type fish.

I have been taking this brand of fish oil caps for years as a supplement because I have a history of heart disease in my family - no heart attacks yet, and it's easy, painless, and easy to swallow!

1.0 out of 5 stars Product description is very misleading, September 22, 2011
Amazon Verified Purchase(What's this?)
This review is from: Golden Alaska Deep Sea Omega-3-6-9 Fish Oil 1000mg 300 Softgels (Health and Beauty)
According to the label on the actual bottle I received today, a 1000mg capsule only contains 126mg EPA and 84mg DHA. The rest is made up of evening primrose and flaxseed. This is not what the product description on Amazon says. A 1000mg capsule that contains such low levels of EPA and DHA, is quite frankly, not worth taking.

Do yourself a favor, and look for capsules with higher levels of EMA and DHA.

4.0 out of 5 stars PLEASE READ THIS PEOPLE LOOKING FOR FISH OIL, November 6, 2011
This review is from: Golden Alaska Deep Sea Omega-3-6-9 Fish Oil 1000mg 300 Softgels (Health and Beauty)
OK first let me start by saying half of the reviews on this product are making me mad. Yes this product is just omega 3. Please before you got off to pay 3-5 times more for omega 3-6-9 . I read a review saying that he didnt feel as healthy on this product because it was missing the omega 6-9. Please understand that it is omega 3 that your average American is low on. Increasing intake of 3 is where you will find the health bonus. Omega 6-9 for 90% of people get more then plenty of through daily diet.

Omega-6 fatty acids, which are polyunsaturated, are found in nuts, seeds and vegetable oils such as soybean, safflower, sunflower or corn oils, which are widely used by the food industry.

Omega-9 fats, or oleic acid, are monounsaturated fats abundant in olive oil, safflower oil, canola oil, avocado and nuts such as almonds and peanuts. Unlike omega-3 and omega-6, omega-9 is not considered an essential fatty acid; it can be produced by the body

Omega 3 fats are all you'll need. By increasing omega 3 to omega 6 normal levels are were you get the health perks. If you increase omega 6 you need to increase omega 3 that much more.

I swear that supplements are getting off the chain. And most people feel that if they stick more things on the label and add more things its healthier. Just a huge waste of money to pay more for a product thats very little to make over omega 3 and charge your 5 times as much AND be less healthy.

save the money and buy a good clean product like this one currently using it with happy results

Current research suggests quite high doses to get the proper amount of the specific Omega 3 components: five 1,000 mg pills a day. Golden Alaska is the most economical source I was able to find.
