About the Author
Martha Philbeck lives on a farm in Northeast Indiana. She started a dog club in Butler Co., Ohio in 1976.In 1979 the club adopted its current name The Marvelous Marmadukes. It became the dog club in the county with the greatest wins. Martha is still raising golden retrievers. Her dogs have still been shown in 4 H obedience. She became interested in the British Cream Golden Retrievers 8 years ago .

More About the Author
I grew up on a farm in southern Ohio. When I was little the farm was farmed with horses. Then Tractors came into use. We had various animals on the farm. I wanted to preserve those memories of what it was like for future generations. My mother was also a prize winning cook and I like to experiment in the kitchen so that brought about the cookbooks. I raise golden retrievers. Each book is a learning experience for the readers to enjoy. The small books are geared so that children can understand about that animal or experience. The Charlie Coyote books are a series of short stories about different topics and feelings about the farm life and going to the woods. Some of those stories are also written by children.

This is a book on raising goldens, includes dog treats, how to train, about the British Cream, talks about C sections, some diseases and characteristics of the British Cream. Shows the anatomy of a dog. Some groming is also included.
