From Library Journal
This New Age title consists of 43 guided meditations into the realms of self-healing and personal growth chosen from among techniques and beliefs found in the traditions of ancient Egypt, Africa, and pre-Columbian America. Scully writes well, and her "journey" instructions are clear, although perhaps the depth of concentration required is not best suited to the novice meditator. There is no index, but one may not be needed. Illustrations by Werneke (who illustrated Jamie Sams and David Carson's Medicine Cards , Bear & Co., 1988) contribute nicely to the text. Buy where Wallace Black Elk and William S. Lyon's Black Elk Speaks Again (HarperCollins, 1990) and Lynn V. Andrews's books (e.g., Medicine Woman LJ 11/15/81 ; The Woman of Wyrrd , LJ 9/15/90) and/or other shamanistic books are popular.
