Editorial Reviews

Review

"The Golden Crusader" is a well-written novel, which pulls the reader gently and willingly into its world. --Russel D. McLean for The Crime Scene

A fun mixture of romance, mystery, paranormal and fantasy. --Anne K. Edwards

About the Author

Linda Langwith was born on an island in the Pacific Ocean. The sea is in her blood, in her dreams and in the stories she writes. Her love of literature inspired her to complete a B. A. Honors and an M. A in English, while her passion for history has drawn her to Europe, England, Scotland and Ireland, to the places which nurtured her ancestors and in turn, nourish her imagination. It was in an old stone cottage in the wilds of Yorkshire that "The Golden Crusader" was first conceived and it was in Fountains Abbey that she found her crusader's effigy, quite forgotten in a corner of the ruins.

4.0 out of 5 stars A fun read, September 22, 2007
This review is from: The Golden Crusader (Perfect Paperback)
Homecoming for Gemma Ravenscroft is bitter and bittersweet. She did not miss her father in her life but sadly missed the last years of her grandmothers life. She is hoping the cottage left to her by her grandmother will be a retreat from a world she never felt she belonged to while she works on her book.

Gemma can't seem to stay out of trouble and is almost immediately is taken in hand by the local doctor and a sea captain whose competition for her affections is often trying. However, add a ghost to that mix and you have a whole new situation. All three are willing to risk much to protect her when it turns out she has enemies. Their main concern is who will she choose.

Some locals blame her for her father's removal from their church and other, newer, enemies are smugglers who want her gone from the cozy cottage above the sea cove.

A fun mixture of romance, mystery, paranormal and fantasy, it is with pleasure I recommend The Golden Crusader by talented author Linda Langwirth who has crafted a multi-faceted tale to grab and hold your attention. Guaranteed to satisfy any romantic at heart or mystery buff. Enjoy. I sure did.
