5.0 out of 5 stars Best of 2007, December 20, 2007
This review is from: Golden Daze (Audio CD)
This album is an absolute gem, leaving me wanting more as soon as possible. The Wildbirds have so much energy packed into this album that it's tough to imagine them topping it live, but they do.

My favorite song is Someday We Can All Fly Away, but believe me when I say that there is not a bad song on this album, not even a mediocre one. The Wildbirds are the most underrated band out there. Golden Daze tops any work that similar artists such as Jet or Kings of Leon have put out.

5.0 out of 5 stars Thank you SIRIUS, November 22, 2007

I heard this band on the "garage rock" channel on SIRIUS. What a find. My comparison would be: they sound like Jet fronted by the singer from Remy Zero. If you appreciate raw and passionate music, you will love this album. The first and last tracks will give you an idea of the variety of styles. Easily the best album I have heard all year.

5.0 out of 5 stars My favorite album of all time., September 10, 2009
This review is from: Golden Daze (Audio CD)
Every song on this album is mind-blowingly unbelievable, think grungy summer rock and roll ala Kings of Leon but with more energy and better songwriting skills. They are/were destined to be the next big thing. It's a shame that they broke up so soon after released this record, even though nick and hugh are still making music under the wildbirds name. I still listen to this album consistently 2 years after it was released and it almost brings a tear to my eye to think the world is going to be without this band.

If you guys are reading this: for the sake of the future of rock music, you need to get the original gang back together.

5.0 out of 5 stars Rockin'!, February 21, 2008

Ok, so I checked these guys out after reading about them in Rolling Stone. And yes, part of it was the comparison to Matt Followill (whom I absolutely adore along with the rest of KOL). So that said, this ROCKS! Well worth checking it out and BUYING it! Hooks, melodies, great playing and vocals all wrapped up in a red and gold box!
