The New Golden Door To Retirement Living in Costa Rica,

I found this book to be of tremendous help, we are thinking of retiring in Costa Rica, and Christopher Howard has written about everything you can possibly want to know and where to find it. Excellent reading, am more excited about going to Costa Rica now than I was before I read this book. This book is written honestly and without judgement, it tells ALL about Costa Rica, its people, crime, markets, bankings, driving, walking, safety, etc. I can't think of a single question that was not already answered in this book.

A Good Place To Start,
By LARRY DAVENPORT (SAN RAMON, CA USA) - See all my reviews
This review is from: The New Golden Door to Retirement and Living in Costa Rica (Paperback)
If you are considering living in Costa Rica or even an extended stay, this book is a good place to start. You cannot do too much research and this author will get you thinking in areas that you may have previously overlooked.A word of caution: Don't let this be the only book you read on the subject. Even though the publication date suggests otherwise, I feel that some of the data is outdated. At least half of your research time should be spent seeking out people who live there now or in the recent past.

I just want to tell you how much I APPRECIATED reading the best-selling "New Golden Door to Retirement and Living in Costa Rica" which I purchased from Amazon.com. It was just what I had been looking for. I have been very familiar with Costa Rica for many years since I was a young man living there as a missionary. I married a Costa Rican woman 29 years ago and am very happy. We are planning to retire to Costa Rica in the next few years. Anyway I just wanted to let others know that this guide is WORTH every cent I paid for it and was very HELPFUL.

This book is spot-on!,

I now live and work in Costa Rica (not quite retired, I'm 26) and this book was a huge part in how I made the decision to come here, the business I started and the moves I've made in setting up my life in Costa Rica. The author really knows the down and dirty details and spares the reader nothing in this book whether good, bad or ugly. Even though I've been in Costa Rica for 3 years, I continue to read each new edition as each one surpasses the previous in information and insights.

This review is from: The New Golden Door to Retirement and Living in Costa Rica (Paperback)
The New Golden Door has served to help me find many answers since many questions have come up with the thought of relocation and retirement in Costa Rica . The chart on qualifications for residency has proved most helpful. Mr. Howard seems to be genuinely interested in helping both future residents as well as those who already live there. Truly a refreshing change from others I have looked into! The New Golden Door is a must for anyone serious about relocation, I especially appreciate the ability to email the author if I have further questions... this has helped TREMENDOUSLY...Again truly refreshing! Don't miss this resourceful book and it's author! Thanks!

The New Golden Door To Retirement and Living in Costa Rica has so many nuggets of wisdom that it is truly worth it's weight in gold. I own one each of every guide on Costa Rica, but four books by Mr. Howard. Each time he updates an edition, I want to be first in line lest I miss out on one of his newest money-making and time-saving tips!
