When I allowed my 9 year old to buy this book, I knew he only wanted it because of the cool 3-headed tiger on the front. Much to my delight, a few hours later he announced to me that this was the coolest book that has ever been written. He spent an entire weekend reading!! This is a child that previously had to be forced to read.This is a great book for boys who have been unmotivated by the typical literature available. The plot is interesting and full of action. The material provides a nice introduction to ancient literature and mythology. It has also given us a good discussion point for history lessons.
