3.0 out of 5 stars Reformed art collector meets suspected art thief., August 22, 1998
Gentle Hannah Prescott takes her trip to the South Seas even though she's just lost her job. She even indulges in a private fantasy about a fellow passenger she sees on the plane...but that doesn't mean she wants him to invade her room in the middle of the night! And he thinks she's a clever art thief, to boot. Jarrett Blade makes it quite clear that she can either turn over the stolen golden goddess to him or explain its possession to Customs. And he finds it in her luggage. Hannah can hardly breathe with shock. Jarret sticks to her like glue for the next few days, and announces his determination to make the liason permanent. Hannah can move in with him when they get to the mainland. Hannah has some thinking to do and Jarrett has a few adjustments to make, as well. As usual, Krentz delivers snappy dialogue, strong characters and a decent plot line. Some may find Blade's character overbearing, but I think his motivation is adequately explained.

4.0 out of 5 stars Aka Jayne Ann Krentz., July 12, 2000

Hannah Prescott felt like Alice in Wonderland after Jarrett Blade breaks into her hotel room looking for a gold statue. Jarrett suspects Hannah of being involved with the smugglers, but is willing to stay with her to see proof of her innocence, or so he says to explain his intrusion into her life.

Jarrett is a little overbearing, but typical for books published during this time period. Hannah is not as helpless as Jarrett would like. Overall, a good read.

This review is from: Golden Goddess (Mass Market Paperback)
Hannah Prescott has indulged in a vacation to the tropics. Late at night Jarrett Blade breaks into her room in search of the fertility statue referred to as the Golden Goddess that he believes is in Hannah's posession. What ensues us a mystery and a love story.

This book is an early Samantha James (aka Jayne Ann Krentz) novel and reflects the times in which it was written (the 80's).

It is actually a pretty good story with lots of twists and turns for the reader to enjoy.
