Great value for Herd Lovers..., March 12, 2003
The actual CD label here is "Disky", not "emi" as above. This is an interesting package to evaluate. On the one hand, there is absolutely no documentation of any sort on the tracks, other than "Live" printed here and there on the back cover's track listing. BUT (and its a big one), the Herd is in roaring good form here, and there is plenty to enjoy-none of the three disks are shorter than 72-minutes. This is not one of those rip-off multi-disk packages where they put 30-odd minutes on a CD and hope you don't notice. Add to this some very nice remastering and jewel box and you have an absolute steal at the price-perfect for the CD changer.

This is a combination of genius: band leader Herman, arranger Ralph Burns, and many very talented side musicians who create a thunderstorm of swinging gems, topped with the soft and subtle rain of an "early autumn"!
