About the Author
Raised in Boston, Mass., Knott's first published work was about a ball player striving to make it back to the major leagues after he lost his fast ball. Knott went on to write more than a dozen books with sports as the background before turning to the writing of science fiction, westerns, historical novels dealing with the west, contemporary fiction, and mysteries. Knott also taught for many years in the public schools before going on to teach at the New York State University at Potsdam. During his years at Potsdam, he completed The Craft of Fiction, a text which was adopted by many writing classes throughout the University system and in colleges throughout the nation. Mr. Knott now resides in Englewood, FL with his lovely wife Ada.
