No problems with vendor; however, I presumed by the cover shot used that it was the original Lou Monte album. It wasn't. The quality & choice of recordings weren't that good.

This CD sure brings back the memories of a time long gone. I remember watching Lou Monte singing 'Pepino the Italian Mouse' song on The Ed Sullivan Show way back when! Rest of the CD excellent!! Love it!! v

Record Companies & artists want to complain about pirating music. I'm don't advocate that, but it seems we collectors have been getting ripped off for years. Case in point, Lou Monte's Golden Hits. Lou Monte had a whopping 4 songs that hit the Top Pop Charts & Only 2 made the Top 40. Lazy Mary was # 12 & Pepino, The Italian Mouse made # 5. This Cd CONTAINS HALF THE SONGS IN RE-RECORDING/LIVE VERSIONS.

What's the problem with the record company stating this so you know when you buy it, your NOT getting the hit single versions. I'm sorry, no offense to Italian listeners, maybe some don't care that this stuff isn't original or live. I don't even think Lou Monte's a very good vocalist. The other two songs The Shiek of Araby #54 is LIVE, the other Pepino song, Pepino's Friend Pasqual #78 is original Reprise single. That leaves only Roman Guitars, Please Mr. Columbus, When I hold you in my arms & What did Washinton say, original and Mama, Darktown Strutters Ball, Eh marie, Eh marie & Mala Femmena...LIVE/RE-RECORDINGS.

Was VERY Dissapointed that I couldn't even get the two top forty hits on this CD. I wouldn't have even bought this in the $5 or less discount bin, much less getting burned paying $12 for 12 songs half Live Re-Recordings. So Collectors BEWARE OF THIS CD!!!!!
