Classical Music Meets The Rock Rhythm Section, July 19, 2002

This compilation album is very good. But it isn't quite up to par with their excellent "MasterPieces" record. Fortunately, I found some (but not enough) of those songs from "MasterPieces" on this disc. It would have been better to include their more "rocky" version of "Popcorn" than the wimpy version. I'm a sucka for the merging of Classical music with Rock and Roll. To me, that's the ultimate form of music. The songs from the classical composers are the best songs on this record. For example, "Tristesse" is Chopin's Etude in E Minor (If I remember right) and is one of the most awesome and beautiful songs on the CD. Overall, The CD sounds very dated, but I still love it. If instrumental music with a beat is your thing, this might do the trick for you. That is, if you don't mind the 60s and 70s sound.
