About the Author
The author of The Golden Key, Michele Luccketta, known to most as "shell", is an artist in many forms. She loves photography, painting, singing and writing. Although this is her first attempt at authoring a book, Michele has always loved to write and has been a professional songwriter for many years. Michele met her husband in a songwriters forum and they have been making music together ever since. She had worked in the music industry for over 20 years and has retired to her art studio to create art, teach about art and raise her children. Her home is filled with six beautiful children that her family has fostered and adopted, (just this year!) Her eldest daughter (26) works in graphic design and is her pride and joy. Michele owns a company named "In the Potter's Hands" in The Monterey Bay Area of CA. It is an arts gallery and ceramics studio. [...] Let it be known that 100% of the proceeds of the sales of this book have been donated to the Steinbeck Library in Salinas CA. The entire book was illustrated by the Steinbeck Kindergarten class (class of 2005.) They did this to help their community stop the closing of their city libraries. They were read the story and the images came alive in their minds and instantly we had the illustrations to complete our book. I haven't met a child yet that hasn't enjoyed this book. Thank you,
