This review is from: Golden Peninsula: Culture and Adaptation in Mainland Southeast Asia (Shaps Library of Asian Studies) (Paperback)
I've never read such a dry, uninteresting account of research before. I suppose this is what Grads and Profs enjoy, but it's not me - just not the way I learn. I'm a young (late 20's), seasoned business guy and this type of reading turns me off of academia. I'd rather attend a 3 day non-stop Celine Dion concert than read a single chapter of this book.
