What A Find!, January 19, 2004
This review is from: Golden Section Tour/Omnidelic Exotour (Audio CD)
This is a great addition to any fans collection and a good introduction to the music of John Foxx for newbies. The first disc features high quality live recordings of some of Foxx's best songs, including tracks from side two of his last labum with Ultravox. Robin Simon's guitar is, as expected, exemplary and the whole thing works really well. Disc 2 is a mix of the old and the new but the old tracks have been given a 90's makeover for the 1997 tour. This seems to have been recorded live in a studio as there is no audience to be heard. Personally, I found it less satisfying than the older recording but it is still worth having. Some of the old material, like 20th Century, works much better than others [Endlessly] but overall it is fairly consistent.

Ahhh Remember Ultravox, October 1, 2010
This review is from: Golden Section Tour/Omnidelic Exotour (Audio CD)
This CD brings back so many memories when John Foxx lead the vocals and perhaps the writing of Ultravox. Walk Away gets right into it, it reminds me of seeing them live so many times at Edgertons a small bar in Toronto just of Ryerson's University Campus. These guys could have been playing to huge crowds yet there was something unique to seeing them at such a small venue when few people were interested in what they were doing. The hidden Man is just as powerful then as it is now on what is probably a much larger venue. This is certaing a person who uses synths to his advantage and in an interesting way ie Slow Motion. Quite an excellent Live Album.
