This review is from: Golden Touch Dice Control Revolution! How to Win at Craps Using a Controlled Dice Throw! (Paperback)
If you are an avid craps player like I am, this book doesn't tell you too much you don't already know. Stand next to the stickman, set the dice the same way, throw them softly the same way, hit the same spot everytime, and you have a greater chance at beating the casino. Duh! Easier said than done, and the book does say to practice a lot. That's fine. But the most annoying things about this book are the continuous plugs the buy more stuff! Dan Pronovost's Smart Craps software (referenced 8 times), Golden Touch DVD (4 times),[..] website (13 times), Frank Scoblete's Craps Underground book (6 times) and Beat the Craps out of the Casino book (4 times), among others, PLUS there are 32 pages in the back with ordering information! Call this phone number for the DVD. Need a practice table? Want to attend a Golden Touch seminar? How do I buy Smart Craps? How about Golden Touch Blackjack, Golden Touch Texas Holdem or Golden Touch Video Poker, while we're at it? Need a list of books and tapes by Frank Scoblete? GIVE ME A BREAK!! Since I didn't learn anything while being bombarded with ads, I give this book a solid ONE star.

Extraordinary Book on Dice Control,
By Arnold (Long Island, New York) - See all my reviews
This review is from: Golden Touch Dice Control Revolution! How to Win at Craps Using a Controlled Dice Throw! (Paperback)
The casinos of America must hate Frank Scoblete and Dominator because they have shown a step by step way to get the edge at craps through both pictures and words in this new book. Or maybe the casinos love them because many people may try this and also fail at it.
The book explains the physical elements of dice control. How to set the dice, where to stand at the table, how to grip the dice, swing your arm properly and throw the dice. It shows how the dice hit the table with a backspin that retards their forward motion and how they hit the back wall and die. I became interested in this when I read about the Captain's 147 hand roll in Atlantic City and I bought the book to see if there was anything to it. I have been practicing now for several months and using my SRR which means Sevens to rolls ration I now have cut down on the appearance of the seven. I have won on most of my trips to the casinos since my practice sessions have begun and even though I don't win every time the difference between my performance before this book and after it is like night and day. I know Scoblete has written many books on gambling but this has to be his finest because if you are a craps player you should get it right away and start practicing.

Winning at Craps,
By Ray Channey (New Jersey) - See all my reviews
This review is from: Golden Touch Dice Control Revolution! How to Win at Craps Using a Controlled Dice Throw! (Paperback)
Craps is supposed to be a game that is random and cannot be beaten unlike blackjack with card counting. This book shows the only way to beat the game of craps in the long run and that is with the Golden Touch craps dice control throw taught by Scoblete and Dominator in dozens of detailed pictures.
This book shows the controled throw from beginning to end and how the dice should spin in the air, land and hit the back wall in such a way as to give the player the edge over the game. The types of bets you make are impportant too because not every bet can be overcome with the controlled throw. You must bet properly on yourself as a controled shooter and also you must bet properly on the random shooters which are most craps players. This book has great material and is a must book for craps players looking to get the edge at the game.

This Book Shows You How to Do It,
By Stanley Robinson (Illinois) - See all my reviews
This review is from: Golden Touch Dice Control Revolution! How to Win at Craps Using a Controlled Dice Throw! (Paperback)
This is a book that shows you have to develop a controlled throw at the casino game of craps. It is written by Frank Scoblete and Dominator and has ninety four pictures showing everything you need to see to get a good idea of where to stand, how to grip the dice and how to throw.
The book is loaded with proper betting information and it is a lively reading experience with many great insights and true stories. Throughout the book the authors allow many of the Golden Touch Craps dice control instructors to discuss all aspects of shooting with control over the game. I recommend this book highly.

This book needs no intro. Covers the aspects of dice control, trouble-shooting and goes further with some wager tactics. It contains not only the words of Frank Scoblete, but also of other great and known shooters.
The main objective here (obviously) is dice control. But I was actually happy when I saw several wagering approaches. There are books that cost a lot and are about progression build ups on a hot roll. Well, there's a small 6 step 6-8 press that has become a favorite I committed to memory with no question or doubt. A work of art that puts you in a zone of safety after 2 hits on either number. Not much more to say. It is what it is and you get more than you pay for. The expense is small and can always serve as an excellent point of reference. hkb

Great Throwing and Betting Advice,
By George Heller (California) - See all my reviews
This review is from: Golden Touch Dice Control Revolution! How to Win at Craps Using a Controlled Dice Throw! (Paperback)
Frank Scoblete and Dominator who created the Golden Touch craps dice control classes have now revealed their information in a book that shows you in pictures and explains fully in words how to work on your own controlled dice throw. The book is detailed and easy to read with great pictures that show the Golden Touch Craps dice throw that allowed many of the students in these classes to have rolls in the 50 to 100 roll category before sevening out.
The betting advice is excellent as the book shows you how to bet into your REAL edge when you learn the Golden Touch craps controlled throw as opposed to the edge you think or wish you had. It explains how to decrease the impact of all the random shooters who no one can win on in the long run. The betting advice is just as important as the controlled shooting advice because if you don't know how to bet properly even with a controlled throw you will lose. The book contains most of the Golden Touch craps instructors of controlled shooting offering advice on all areas of advantage craps play. You will really enjoy and learn from these great shooters. Even the Captain the man who started all this and the man who rolled a world record 147 rolls discusses controlled shooting which he calls rhythmic rolling. This is an important and very informative book. This book is a must read book for all craps players looking to get a real edge at the game of craps. It is based on the physics of the dice throw and the math behind the proper betting.

I WON,

This review is from: Golden Touch Dice Control Revolution! How to Win at Craps Using a Controlled Dice Throw! (Paperback)
My cousins and I were at a casino in Tunica losing big time. He usually has a good run so I was betting away on his rolls. He would pick up the dice, blow on them, say a prayer, kiss his nuckles, and go through a whole ritual before shooting. He's what Frank would call a "gambler." One of the dealers asked if we had ever heard of the Dominator, neither of us had. He said, "try reading the Dominator before coming down here again." I read this book on a Thursday and went to the casino that Friday night. Did I try to become an overnight controlled shooter? Heck no, I stood at the table for about 20 minutes until I found someone that was. I walked away happy that night.
I believe in the techniques, and have been practicing them myself, but have yet to try my novice skills at the casino. I'm ordering a makeshift golden touch craps table that I found on Ebay.

A "Must Have" Book For Any Casino Players Library,
By
This review is from: Golden Touch Dice Control Revolution! How to Win at Craps Using a Controlled Dice Throw! (Paperback)
I started reading Scoblete a few months ago when I picked up a copy of the revised edition of "Beat The Craps Out Of The Casino". I then continued on with "Forever Craps" and finally, this GTC book.
What has always impressed me about Mr. Scoblete's writing is that he is very much a straight shooter: he doesn't try to come up with crazy progressive betting schemes. He eschews 90% of the table bets offered, like any knowledgable player of craps should. And he knows how to make a good blend of storytelling and practical information. Do not think that this is as simple as card counting (Or at least, as simple as GTC Speed Counting, which is like childs play). Dice control is a very involved, intense physical skill, requiring daily practice. Like golf, if you want to do it at the *absolute peek* of perfection, you will probably need to spend several hundred dollars on training seminars and practice equipment (or build your own if you are handy. The rubber pyramids alone though are pricey). Mr. Scoblete makes no false promises. He wholeheartedly admits that most players will lack the discipline to become an advantage player. But what he does discuss makes perfect sense. Just picking up the dice and making a hundred throws at home, I can already see the power that the right grip and the right dice set can have, as opposed to any lunk who picks up "them bones" and just flings them willy-nilly at the back. Avery Cardoza's works are good for a beginners primer. But if you want to take your play from "skilled, but ultimately losing" to "very skilled, and ultimately winning", "Scobe" is the man to go to.

In Words and Pictures You Learn to Win,
By Barney Q. (California) - See all my reviews
This review is from: Golden Touch Dice Control Revolution! How to Win at Craps Using a Controlled Dice Throw! (Paperback)
There are many books on craps and some books on controlled shooting but this is far and away the best one. Frank Scoblete who has written a number of great craps books and his partner Dice Dominator have put together a book that shows you one step at a time how to get and edge at the game of craps using the Golden Touch Craps dice control method.
There are about a hundred excellent pictures in the book and also excellent advice on betting on yourself once you have achieved some level of control and also just as important how to deal with the regular "random" shooters at the table. To win at craps you have to have a controlled throw, the "Golden Touch," but you have to bet properly using that throw and also not lose your money on the other players. The book also has some words of wisdom from the Captain, the world record holder with a roll of 147, and most of the Golden Touch Craps dice control experts such as Stickman and Bill Burton. If you are interested in beating the game of craps then this is the book to get. Having read them all I can tell you buy this one and don't waste your money on anything else. I also note that Scoblete has had many rolls in the 50s and one roll that went to 89 and Dominator has also had great rolls. This tells me that these guys are the real deal and it shows in the book, a truly great book and one that is well written, clear and completely understandable.

A Blast of a Book,

This review is from: Golden Touch Dice Control Revolution! How to Win at Craps Using a Controlled Dice Throw! (Paperback)
I saw a television show about Frank Scoblete and the Dice Dominator and then I bought this book to see what was in this dice shooting and controlling the dice stuff. The book is really good and has page after page of great pictures showing you everything you need to start creating your own controlled dice throw.
The book has excellent betting advice and also practice advice. The book also has comments by many of the Golden Touch Craps instructors and also from the Captain himself the man who owns the world record of 147 throws before he crapped out. I am amazed at how detailed the book is and how much you learn from it. I am constructing my own practice table to go with the information in the book and I hope to take on the casinos in a few months. The book makes it clear that you really do have to practice a lot to be successful and that this is not some magic bullet that is easy to learn. That sold me. The scammers always try to make it seem that there are easy ways to beat the casinos. There are no easy way to beat the casinos but this book shows how it is done. |
