For fans of Al and Amy, it has always been apparent that Amy White is a talented musician, and there have been hints of how good her voice is on"Racing Hearts". But "Golden Wing" confirms just how good a singer Amy is. Somewhere between folk and Joni Mitchell in her "Blue" to "Court and Spark" period is a fair way to describe her voice. The CD also has some familiar instrumentals which add to its charm. The covers of old songs like "If I Were a Blackbird" work well, and new songs like "Hide and Seek" show real song writing talent. I have listened to this CD constantly since purchasing it about a year ago. I highly recommend it. My particular favorite is "The Blackest Crow".
