#1 Book I Have Ever Read, March 10, 2008
This review is from: Goldeneyes (Paperback)
I had the privilege of writing a review for this book about 10 months ago and have waited, very impatiently, for its release. This is the absolutely best book I have EVER read and I read, at least, 5 books per week, usually more! Ms. Delia Latham wrote this unbelievable story and her expertise in details just iced the cake! I absolutely could not stop reading. It was a page-turning masterpiece which will, I am sure, be on all the best-sellers lists. This storyline spanned several decades and, even though it contained many characters, there was no confusion. Ms. Latham has a golden stroke with her computer. Her writing is truly touched by the Hand of God! This fabulous story will capture the skeptic. Be warned, though. You will not have the book figured out until you, literally, read the very LAST word. Whatever you do, read this book. Then buy it for your friends. I assure you I intend to. I've never in my life been this affected by a book, either before or since. Surely this author will reach amazing heights in her career. Do yourself a favor and try it for yourself. I promise you will NOT be disappointed.

Treasure of a Story, July 12, 2010
Originally posted at: [...] Addiction can drive a man to do some pretty awful things, but to sell his baby? In the dead of night, when the demon takes control and you have nowhere to turn, you might possibly be driven to do even that. Just ask Jack Kelly. He'll tell you... Jack Kelly starts this novel off with a bang and a horrendous confession. And while his physical presence in this novel is short-lived, his spirit is in every chapter. Despite his despicable act, he is a fascinating character. His love for his wife is everything in his world and yet, his demon is more dominant. I would have liked to get to know him just a bit better. Juliana Camden is an inspiration in herself. A writer of inspirational fiction, she finds herself suddenly reading and answering mail for an advice column. This, in itself, will change the course of her life. I loved the fact that she is very devout and yet is still unsure of herself at times. However, she is a very loving and caring person, taking each and every request for advice to heart. We'd all be lucky to have someone like her on our side. Gillian Parsons is quite the opposite of Juliana. While still being an extremely honest and caring person, she has been lacking in faith since the death of her father. She is probably the more realistic of the two women, as we all have a crisis of faith at least once in our lives, although I know women like both of these young ladies. The fact that, just because her faith has been misplaced, she doesn't give up completely says a lot about her character and the upbringing she's had. Watching her grow and find what she'd lost was a wonderful experience. From the very first page, I was drawn into Jack Kelly's story. Rich storytelling combined with believable and lovable characters only enhanced the already well-woven plot. Goldeneyes was filled with twists and turns and surprises I never saw coming. Add to this the faith and Christian values sprinkled throughout the pages and you get an amazing story of love, faith, and endurance of spirit that you won't soon forget. Delia Latham's Goldeneyes is a treasure of story sure to make an impact on anyone who picks it up.

An old sin, a new love, and a shocking revelation..., June 27, 2010
One rainy night, a desperate golden-eyed man sells his baby girl to a young couple, creating a dark secret that touches many lives. Juliana Camden has received a letter to work on a Christian newspaper, a dream job she's waited for all her adult life. But her mother's more frequent bouts of `sickness' prevent her from taking the job. Annie's terrible headaches, and her soft crying out to ask Juliana for forgiveness are happening more and more. But Annie doesn't want Juliana to give up her dream and tells her to take the job. Will Dawson, the editor for the Christian magazine, wants Juliana to be the advice columnist who answers the heartfelt letters sent to the magazine. As she goes through the letters, Juliana is drawn to a particular one, a young woman afraid of losing her mother, her family, and her heart. As Juliana and Will realize they love each other, they are also drawn into the strange life of the young letter writer, uncovering long-ago secrets, broken bonds, and the expiation of old sins. Will their love hold through the revelations that shatter Juliana's world?
