2.0 out of 5 stars There are better read aloud stories!, November 3, 2009
As I was reading this book to my children last night. I was thinking about what the star level is on amazon. Well to my surprise it is rated as a perfect book. It is difficult to read since there are are bubbles everywhere. I understand that the story is supposed to be funny with the bubbles but some of the humor is lost in the confusion of who is talking during a read aloud. My child (6yo) thought parts were funny but other parts were over their head. I will be hiding this book as it was not fun to read. This is one of my least favorites out of a hundred book collection of stories.

5.0 out of 5 stars Goldilocks meets Dorothy!!, December 7, 2005
A Kid's Review
There was a Wizard of Oz reference at the end of this book. Goldilocks spouted lines from the end of the Wizard of Oz (the part where Dorothy returns to her home in Kansas from the Land of Oz), and called Papa Hare ''Uncle Henry,'' Mama Hare ''Auntie Em,'' and Baby Hare ''Toto.'' Also, the mouse children sang ''We're Off to See the Wizard.'' I LOVE this book!

5.0 out of 5 stars Parents and Children Alike Will Like, August 6, 2002

This review is from: Goldilocks and the Three Hares (Hardcover)
What a fun book! So much to see and read. My 4 year old daughter still says this is her favorite book, and you know what a short memory 4 year olds can have. She and her dad had a ton of fun reading this book - over and over and over. It is loaded with sly little puns, visual jokes, and a double storyline that will keep the readers enjoying it. It is a fun take off on, you guessed it, Goldilocks and the 3 bears, with a little Alice in Wonderland, and Police Squad thrown in. Great fun!

Would you want to fall in a rabbit's hole? Well after you read this book you would! First Goldilocks is playing with her red ball, then it fall in the hare's hole. See what happens next in Goldilocks and the Three Hares by Heidi Petach. The respect other people's property.

This book is extremely funny. Both my 5 year old and I were rolling on the floor laughing. We loved it so much that we had to have "family book night," so that we could read it for the tenth time to Daddy when he got home. The humor delights kids and adults alike. A perfect "5"!

5.0 out of 5 stars Goldilocks and the 3 Hares, June 6, 2005
A Kid's Review
I read the Goldilocks and the three Hares by Heidi Petach. It was about three Hares that left from there house, to get pizza with extra cabbage. Then Goldilocks comes into their house and tries the big bowl of oatmeal but it was too hot. Then she tries the medium bowl but it was too cold. After that she tried the tiny bowl and ate all up. So after that she went in the family room and sat on a great big chair but it was too hard to figure out. So then she went on the medium chair but the it rocked too fast. So then she sat on the tiny chair but it broke in pieces. After that she went in there bedroom, she sat on the big bed but it made her sick.So then she went on the medium bed but it was too soft. Finally she tried the tiny bed and she fell fast asleep. After that the three Hares came home from breakfast and they found that somebody had been eating their oatmeal.
After that the Hares went in the family room and they found somebody has been sitting in their chairs. After that they go up to the bedroom and found that somebody had been sleeping in their beds. the baby hare found that Goldilocks was sleeping in his bed. then Goldilocks woke up and they became friends.

I like it because instead of Goldilocks and the three bears its Goldilocks and the three Hares. The message was don't go in somebody's house if you don't know them because if they didn't get to know her, Goldilocks could go off to jail for coming in somebody's house without knowing it. I think this book is a real funny book. The conflict is person vs person because Goldilocks goes into the Hares house an d wrecks all their stuff. She eats their oatmeal, she messes up their chairs and she messes up their beds. The story has two sets of characters, the mice, weasels, the two police, Goldilocks and the three Hares, I like this version better because it told me two stories instead of one. You should read this book because it tells you what its like when somebody goes in someone elses house without knowing it and messes up their house.
