Ripoff,

I purchased this from Real Goods. If you turn the package around, you'll see that rather than imitating the sound of a mosquito predator- it imitates the sound of a male mosquito. It claims that only the female mosquito bites, and will fly away when it hears the sound of a male. This is either BS- or I have flock and flocks of gay mosquitos. And they bite.
I was hoping to purchase what they had offered before- it imitated a predator. My front yard is shady, and when I walked outside with the predator-type, flocks of mosquitos fled away as fast as they could. If I could give this zero stars- I would.

I used the product for 3 days after I received it. During those days no mosquitoes bit or bothered me.
For the price it is worth it. No batteries and refills to bother with.

I purchased 2 at least 10 years ago from Real Goods and have enjoyed many mosquito free normal summers. During those years in which there has been excessive rain, I have used dryer sheets in conjunction with the solar mosquito guard with no bites at all. Doesn't work with biting flies though, unfortunately. Love the product.
