Written from the perspective of an athlete,

This review is from: The Gold's Gym book of strength training (Paperback)
This is a classic book in the field, rather unique because it discusses strength training from the perspective of an athlete as opposed to a bodybuilder only. Ken Sprague is the owner and operator of the first Gold's Gym, the original strength training center. The book includes pictorials of various exercises and a discussion of lifting strategy. It stresses the importance of weight lifting movements that mirror athletic motions.
