Trips my Breakers,

I had a 2K transformer already plugged in where I plugged this one in, replaced the old one with this one. Every time I turned it on it tripped my breakers - the old one, different brand but same power - 2K, never tripped my breakers. Also, this one has a very noticeable hum I can hear from a long distance. I had to upgrade my circuit breaker to use this transformer. Not particularly happy with this transformer nor the extremely insufficient packaging used in shipping.

These transformers are great for the price. I live in Turkey on AFB and are only issued one of these for a 2 story house with only 2 110 plugs in the house, so we need one of these for almost every room. They are great priced and work very well. Recommend these for anyone living overseas and need to convert 220 power to 110.

We got this because we moved from Europe to the US and we brought our European Nespresso coffee machine over. Our coffee machine consumes 1750 Watt of power (peak) and that's why we have to get the ST-2000 voltage transformer. We have been using this for over five months now and it is working fine. I was worried it would produce a large amount of "zooming" noise but it is almost inaudible. You can almost not hear any noise at all unless you get very close to it. I have to say we put it in the kitchen and the noise from our fridge is more dominating. All in all very content about this until now.

Good product which does the job.Comes with 2 spare fuses. I already blew 2 so I tried to purchase some. Nowhere could I find the right fuses. They seem to be of a very specific size! When the last one blows, I'm stuck...

The unit works ok but the material used to make the voltage selector socket is very brittle... broke off first time it was used.

This step up/down voltage converter is much bigger than I'd expected, but it does do the job intended. Each time you power it on, it will emit a sudden deep vibration for half a second, then gets quiet. This apparently is normal for the transformer. Otherwise, it works like a charm on my 1200 Watt Swiss-made espresso machine.

Transformer is awesome, we run a 1800 watt toaster, and a 1850 watt Dyson Vacuum on it with no trouble. Only problem is it makes a light buzz sound so it may not be the best for a quit room, but other then that it does the job!

Maybe this was a one-time issue with my particular transformer, but for me it was enough: After unpacking the transformer it was not working at all. The Fuse was ok, and i selected the input voltage correct (110 V in USA) but no output Voltage. Sorry, but now i try a different brand. I hope I will get all my money back.

We just moved from Europe to the US with all our stuffs : coffee machine, toaster, vacuum cleaner, sewing machine,... All these devices couldn't work on the 110 V and we didn't want to replace them all.So we bought this transformer and it's doing the job perfectly. The only negative thing I could think of is the size of it : it's pretty big and not very pretty to have this on your kitchen counter top to run the coffee machine and the toaster... but it's no big deal. So we are generally satisfied with it.

I use it the US (110V) for my European electronics (230V). My biggest concern was noise level since I use it in the living room for my TV and sound system. Apart from the first burp when it is turned on there is only a faint humming that you can hear when you get really close. So it works great for my purposes. I am using the 2000W version and I load it to at most 50%. It does get warm after being on for a while, but it is no more than you would expect from any electronic equipment. It's not a problem at all. This model came with a grounded US plug (good) but the outlet on the front is only grounded for European plugs where the ground pin sticks out from the plug. There is no adapter for the European plugs where the ground is on the side of the plug, though one can of course buy an adapter to for that.
