About the Author

ROBERT S. GOLDSTEIN, V.M.D., has been a holistic veterinarian for over 30 years and is Director of Veterinary Services of Animal Nutrition Technologies and the Healing Center for Animals. He specializes in treating canine and feline cancer and other immune-suppressive diseases and is the founder ofmodern cryosurgery. Dr. Goldstein has forumulatd over 100 nutritional products and foods for dogs and cats.

SUSAN J. GOLDSTEIN has been an expert for over 25 years on the holistic approach to the emotional, physical, and nutritional needs of dogs, cats, and birds. She is the founder and president of Earth Animal, a retail outlet in Westport, Connecticut, and runs the Healing Center for Animals veternary telephone consultation practice. I purchased this book on the recommendation of a friend and I was not disappointed. This book gives you an overview of many different medical problems that your pet may encounter. Then they break it down into what the Vet will recommend, followed by what other things you can do to treat the pet holistically, either as an accompaniment to the vet's recommendations, or instead of (this is your choice of course). It's very well written, easy to read and understand. Many times these types of books sound good, but are disappointing when you read them. This one is not disappointing and I honestly believe every pet owner should have this as an important reference.

This book is fabulous and touches on many aspect of your animals wellness. Very practical, common sense and written so it is easy to understand. Parallels how we as humans should eat and take care of ourselves using good nutrients and vitamins and supplements when needed. Our dog suffers from seizures and this book has not only been helpful but great in understanding what we can do to help strengthen her immune system and make her as healthly as possible. It is too soon to tell whether she will benefit and have less seizures but we feel good about giving her the best food and best chance possible for optimum health. Fran
