Not Piper's Best Work; Still Important, April 28, 2009
This review is from: The Golem: Israel's Nuclear Hell Bomb and the Road to Global Armageddon (Paperback)
In the past, we've greatly enjoyed and been well edified by the important books of Michael Collins Piper, particularly "Final Judgment" and "High Priests of War". Given this background, we find his latest work just a bit disappointing. It is important, nonetheless.
Piper's basic thesis here is the Ersatz Israel has created a nuclear arsenal that threatens not just its Middle East neighbors, but the world at large. And that thesis is provably correct. Piper drives the point home well within the first several chapters of this book. But then, he seems to run out of material. And the book is particularly tarnished by the very odd inclusion of a long and rambling essay written by one Lawrence Dennis. Prior to this, we were unaware of the contributions of Mr. Dennis. And having read this particular essay, we would just as soon have remained ignorant of his outreach. After reading this essay, I searched the "web" for information on Dennis. Taking into account the profound impact of Zionist propaganda even on the Internet, I was, to put it charitably, disappointed with what I found. Piper made a big mistake, I judge, including this essay in his otherwise important book. But again, it did appear that he was running out of material and may have employed the essay as "filler".
We recommend the book, in a qualified sense. The material is generally important, and ought to be considered well by all who rightly are concerned with events in the Middle East these days. But we would caution the author and his many sincere followers: Evil cannot be overcome with evil. Only good can overcome evil. The consistent teaching of Holy Church relative to the problem of the Jewish revolutionary spirit for 2,000 years has been conversion, not attack. And this reasonable and charitable prescription is sadly missing from Mr. Piper's otherwise important work. God bless.
