The author of fifteen previous books, Amato is the Director of Regional Studies and a professor of history at Southwest State University in Marshall, Minnesota, where he lives.

I thought this was a great book. A great mix of anecdotes, history, and psychology. Golf is about 'feel', and he captures that feeling in this book. After reading the book it made me want to go out and play 18 holes by myself and really enjoy the beauty of this wonderful game. I will definitely read the book again!
