After reading a bunch of books, and watching a bunch of rented DVD on golf instruction, this is the one I purchased. The instruction is clear, and concise, and quite humorous too.
As a relative beginner there are loads of great tips and tricks, and yet I felt there is a lot of useful stuff for when I become more accomplished too.

I rented this video and am now purchasing it. Mccord explains how to fix a slice/hook, grip, stance, alignment, putting, chipping, sand, and much more, in an easy to understand, straight forward, humorous manner. Great for teaching the basics, and review for the rest of us. Also has small bit on etiquette, which as we all know is something that should be mentioned more often.

This DVD is very well done, Gary's experience as a TV commentator provides a solid performance that is pleasant to watch, and best of all, gives a great series of lessons.

I've gotten a lot out of this DVD, highly recommended!

This was a very imfomative and entertaining DVD. Gary did a good job in explaining all areas of golfing. Although the video goes a little fast at times, you can always back it up and see it again. Would purchase this video even if you do have a little golf experience...it is good to brush up on your techniques.

As someone who's golfed for a year, this movie gave great techniques for an overall good golf game.

For a complete novice who has only begun to swing a club at a practice range, this is a helpful and somewhat amusing DVD. My husband, who is slightly more advance than I am found useful tips in it also.

Great video and it was truly a pleasure to watch, again and again. We often say that the book is better than the movie and although the book is also good - I think with a sport as complex as golf it is best to see.

Gary goes over the very basics, addresses some common and critical flaws, and gives drills to help out with your swing and your approach. I think the video is more than ideal for someone new to the game or perhaps someone whom has played but was never introduced to the game (or form) formally.

I rented this on Netflix and was so impressed I had to buy it. It breaks everything down for the brand new golfer. Excellent.

Golf for Dummies is pretty much what you would expect if you are familiar with the "for dummies" series. As a novice golfer, I really appreciated the fact that the DVD was presented in such a matter that assumes that the viewer knows little or nothing about golf. I had only golfed twice before i saw this video (Best ball in groups for fun), and I must say that I could not get ONE ball airborn. After watching the part of this DVD about the golf swing twice, i was finally able to make decent contact and get elevation. The instructions were insightful and presented in a fun way. 4 weeks later, i can consistantly drive the ball 190-220 yards. i know that may not be impressive to most, but believe me. it is a QUANTAM LEAP from where I was as late as two months ago. I highly recommend this DVD for beginners. it's entertaining, fun and VERY informative.
