What is so cool about this book is not so much what it contains as much as how it is written. It consists of 100 tips written on mostly one page, occasionally carries over onto a second page. You can read them in seconds; get the idea or thought, then move on. To me it would be a great book to read one to three tips a day. For people like me who only think about golf whenever I get a chance to play, the book gives me the opportunity to think about golf a little bit every day. Most of the items covered in the book are not about the golf swing, they are about the mental side of the game as are Dr. Parent's other books, Zen Golf and Zen Putting. It is like taking the yellow highlighted sections from Zen Golf and Zen Putting and putting only those words into this book like a daily study. I like it if you can't tell. I also like all of Dr. Parent's books, CDs and DVDs; he is a fabulous teacher of the mental game.

Most golfers know that the biggest obstacle to good performance on the course is the space between our ears - our mind! However, most of us practice developing a mental game even less than we practice chipping and putting! We all know that the best way to permanently change behavior and attitude is to do it in small steps over a long period of time - like studying for an exam by taking good notes during class instead of cramming the night before. The beauty of this book is that the chapters are short and easy to read - most of them no more than two or three pages. You can read one chapter a day or even two and gradually transform your mental game. If you do not have fun on the golf course and find yourself angry at yourself I highly recommend you read this book slowly - and over a long period of time.

Parent's Zen Golf is phenomenal. It's a guide not only to golf, but to life. If you read just the part about the monk your life will be changed. (spoiler) You don't have to change yourself, just be aware and changes will happen - seriously - it's that easy.

This book? Sorry, but it's just a money grab. Popular first book, name recognition, blah blah blah. I liked it because I like the author ... oh, and it was free.

First I must say that the delivery of the book was great! Amazon delivered the book when they said they would and it arrived in perfect shape. Dr. Joe Parent, who wrote this book, is one of my favorite golf writers. His ideas about the mental side of the game are the best. This particular book separates his suggestions into the different areas of the game: preparation, set-up, driving, fairway woods, irons, chipping and putting. Take one or two tips every other day, and you will enjoy your golf game more.

The format is not what I expected when I ordered it: 100 tips. However, the book is well organized and helpful. The author breaks it down to different sections: practice, full swing, putting. I find myself returning to the book after a round or practice session and re-reading different sections. For the list price, it is a bargain. For the reduced price offered by Amazon (approximately the cost of a sleeve of Pro-V1's), the book is a must have.

Joe Parent is a fabulous author. Joe's insight into the mental game of golf has always impressed me and I will look forward to reading any future books he has in store for us. Always practice that neglected part of the game-Mental Golf Thoughts

I thoroughly enjoyed reading this book. If you are interested in improving your golf game, this book will most certainly help you navigate some of the toughest terrain on the course, the six inches between your ears!
