5.0 out of 5 stars It's Sybervision, goofy
No offense to the previous reviewer, but this is a Sybervision tape, not an instructional tape -- there's never any narration with these. The whole point is that you watch the "perfect" motion over and over and thus develop muscle memory. Once you've seen this ten times, it does tax your sanity -- but the technique works. You basically watch Patty hit 50 drivers from a couple of angles, then 50 5-irons, etc. In lieu of narration, there is pleasant music which is supposed to enhance the muscle memory. Anyway, this is Patty's swing of 15 years ago, and it is FLAWLESS. I'm a 5-handicap male who has both this tape and the related one by Al Geiberger, and I ALWAYS watch this one.

5.0 out of 5 stars Relax and Learn Golf, July 4, 2000
By A Customer
This review is from: Golf - The Women's Game [VHS] (VHS Tape)
This video teaches without teaching...golf without playing golf. That's the zen of sybervision...it really works's. Ive worn out two of these babies and now on my third copy.

More importantly, this video is comfortable and relaxing (another sybervision mind trick.) You watch the great Patty Sheehan hit the same perfect shot over and over, repeatedly, in real time and slow motion. This helps groove your tempo and swing, just before you are lulled to sleep. If developing a relaxed comfortable stroke is your goal...get this video.

Patty Sheehan's sybervision video is slightly better in quality than Al Geiberger's, but I think you can't go wrong with either one.

5.0 out of 5 stars It's right at the top of my list of favorite golf tapes!, February 28, 2001

Patti Sheehan's golf tape, with the examples it shows, is timeless! I consider this tape my most important game improvement tool. I' m so glad it is still available. I purchased it from Sybervision,16 years ago, when I was a 'beginning golfer'. Watching the tape, and putting what I learned into practice, made me very competitive in my first season of league play resulting in increased enjoyment of the game. I still watch this tape to refresh my skills ,especially, the night before an important match.

Your age ,gender,or, level of competency doesn't matter.I believe this tape should be in your golf tape library !

5.0 out of 5 stars I learn something every time I watch it, September 24, 2002
By A Customer
This review is from: Golf - The Women's Game [VHS] (VHS Tape)
As I try to develop my swing and improve my game, I watch this tape over and over again. Each time I learn something new that helps me. I prefer it over the talky tapes where I have to FF through the grip segment, etc. to get to the part I want.

As a beginning golfer with a similar build to Patty Sheehan, it was suggested that I study her swing. I found this video and have been watching it daily for about 6 weeks now. In addition to a weekly lesson from a local pro, the video has done wonders for my golf swing and confidence. The music from the tape "plays" in the back of my mind at lesson time. The viewer must realize however, that she needs to follow the simple instructions at the beginning of the tape. I wish I could find the audio cassette of the music on this video.

1.0 out of 5 stars Don't buy this New Age junk, August 3, 2001
By A Customer

I thought this was an instructional video on the golf swing. Instead, Sheehan over and over and over and over again swings at the ball, New Age music plays, and you are supposed to absorb the correct golf swing by osmosis. Don't waste your money.

5.0 out of 5 stars Goofy but good, February 24, 2001
This review is from: Golf - The Women's Game [VHS] (VHS Tape)
This video is definitely for the more seasoned golfer who wants to better understand all the minute facets of the golf swing. I found it very helpful for my interest in checking left arm position from impact to the finish. If you're looking for a video that covers many slow motion shots from many angles, this video is for you!

The tape did drive me a little bonkers watching Patty Sheehan (circa the 1980's) hit hundreds of shots to mellow/rhythmic music. It kind of put me in a transe! As said in another review, there is no audio instruction, just Patty hitting shot after shot after shot.

1.0 out of 5 stars Most annoying video ever made!, August 29, 2001
This review is from: Golf - The Women's Game [VHS] (VHS Tape)
This video will make you want to SCREAM. It's so annoying watching a 1980's Patty Sheehan hit a ball over and over to nausiating music. I found it useless in terms of golf instruction. Don't waste your money.
