About the Author

Michael Probert was born in Staffordshire one early morning in 1959,the son of a miner and ultimately one of six children. Educated in a local Comprehensive school i then followed an apprenticeship with a multi national company obtaining a number of professional qualifications along the way culmunating in a senior executive post on the main executive board. During my formative years my main hobby was golf and i represented Staffordshire at County level for 20 years playing with and against world greats such as Sandy Lyle,Ian Woosnam and Lee Westwood and was a County Captain for 5 years. In 2004 i relocated to Torrevieja with my family to start a golf business called Costa Blanca Green Fee Services which incorporates tuition,booking discounted green fees,rental accommodation and car hire. Since my re-location i have written numerous golf related articles for local English language newspapers,golfing magazines and golfing web-sites and i am locally considered to be an expert of the local golfing scene. These articles caught the attention of my publishers and that was how the booked called 'a Golfing Guide to Murcia evolved.
