Product Description
Golfing in Hawaii is the most comprehensive guide to golf facilities in the state. The size and format were designed for easy travel in your golf bag or glove box for quick reference. This 1st edition includes the newest golf facilities recently opened as well as information on all existing golf courses. MAC Productions golf guides are recongnized as the best guides in golf!! --This text refers to an out of print or unavailable edition of this title.

About the Author
Daniel MacMillan has been an avid golfer for the past 16 years. He enjoys researching and playing the various golf courses of the western United States (if it were only that easy!!). Golfing in Washington was the brainchild of Daniel and his previous partner Mark Fouty who, one day while playing a round at Snohomish Golf Course, discussed finding a guide to use themselves. When no such guide was available this one was written. The book has taken on many stages. It was originally called Golfing in Western Washington, which encompassed only the more populous half of the state. In 1988 it expanded to Golfing in Washington (now in it's 15th edition). Meanwhile Mark pursued a career in New York so Daniel bought out Mark's share of the company. The company has therefore become a real family operation. Daniel drags his wife Kristi and their three children throughout the west coast seeking information on new courses and facilities for upcoming publications. We hope all the thousands of miles and endless phone calls have paid off. These guides are designed to have all the information a golfer wants and needs to know about playing a course, and as a golfer Daniel has done just that. --This text refers to an out of print or unavailable edition of this title.

2.0 out of 5 stars Golfing In Hawaii, October 24, 2007
By Chris Kraft "Seam Man" (Denver, Colorado) - See all my reviews
(REAL NAME)
Golfing in Hawaii is a book that I do not recommend. The information listed for each course is minimal, and almost always less than what can be easily found on the internet. Additionally, the listings for the state are alphabetically, which may be fine if you are familiar with where you are visiting or if you live there, but for someone who is going for a vacation, I was interested in a single island and an easier way to read and view the information. There are maps at the start of the book, but I found myself flipping back and forth to read the information that was listed, and with what I read, it left me wanting much more information. One small benefit of the book is each course has a routing and a yardage for each hole. This can be somewhat helpful if planning a strategy before playing, but again it can usually be found in other places. Overall, I would say to save your money and wait for a better book to be written.
