"A glorious marriage of photography and narrative that will flatter any coffee table. A book to be enjoyed over and over." —Nick Seitz, editor at large, Golf Digest

"The great one-shotters in golf finally get their due thanks to Tony Robert’s images and Michael Bartlett’s insightful but concise text." —Geoff Shackelford, golf architect and author, The Future of Golf

For golf lovers, this book is a true pleasure. Reflecting on the history, design, challenge and beauty of these outstanding holes makes this a great experience for those who appreciate great golf holes. Both the terrific photography and the very relevant commentary made it one of my favorite golf books

I love golf picture books and this one was as good as any. For several of the pictures, it would have been nice to have a sketch of the routing of the hole since in some cases I could not figure out the direction of approach to the hole. I am writing my review so long after my purchase because it was awhile before I started the book and I went through it only 2 or 4 pages a day, looking to enjoy the experience. I am not a skilled at evaluating photographic quality but I found the pictures wonderful. The holes are grouped by style/length. I particularly enjoyed the short section on holes with steep drops.

Any book that claims to display the finest of anything would meet with some level of controversy. That would certainly be true here. For several of the holes I simply remarked to myself "what's so special about that." In most cases, however, the holes presented would strike me as being near the top of the list for someone that had seen a lot of par threes.

This golf book features incredible photos offering the viewer access to otherwise unavailable vistas. The explanatory text, makes fascinating reading even for a non-golfer. This book would be an appreciated gift.

This book was all I expected and hoped for. A lot of beautiful pictures and not so much text.. When you look at the pictures I get calm inside and start planning the next golf trip.

This book which promised much with its title is allegedly just a collection of some pretty photos with a few comments some of which are ok but many of which are perhaps a bit mundane - i would alledge it is not a terribly useful guide or text book for examining the background and possible design concepts and / or the "science" of par 3 holes which it probably had an opportunity to be - fine if you just like pretty photos of par 3 holes in golf but allegedly a bit disappointing if you are looking for something that examines Par 3 holes style and design concepts just a little deeper - depending on what you are looking for, you may enjoy it - but my copy will be up on ebay for a cheap sale soon
