For golf lovers, this book is a true pleasure. Reflecting on the history, design, challenge and beauty of these outstanding holes makes this a great experience for those who appreciate great golf holes. Both the terrific photography and the very relevant commentary made it one of my favorite golf books

I love golf picture books and this one was as good as any. For several of the pictures, it would have been nice to have a sketch of the routing of the hole since in some cases I could not figure out the direction of approach to the hole. I am writing my review so long after my purchase because it was awhile before I started the book and I went through it only 2 or 4 pages a day, looking to enjoy the experience. I am not a skilled at evaluating photographic quality but I found the pictures wonderful. The holes are grouped by style/length. I particularly enjoyed the short section on holes with steep drops.

Any book that claims to display the finest of anything would meet with some level of controversy. That would certainly be true here. For several of the holes I simply remarked to myself "what's so special about that." In most cases, however, the holes presented would strike me as being near the top of the list for someone that had seen a lot of par threes.

This golf book features incredible photos offering the viewer access to otherwise unavailable vistas. The explanatory text, makes fascinating reading even for a non-golfer. This book would be an appreciated gift.
