Unintentional humor,

This review is from: Gollumeth-The Bloodline of Horredath (Paperback)
This beautifully produced book is full of unintentional humor, and may compete with Atlanta Nights for a place in the bookshelves of authors and appreciators of the art of Really Bad Writing. The characters are engaging but best taken in small doses to release mental blocks.
The book is full of quotable quotes such as this: 'Fotil yelled out with a scratchy voice. "What do you want with us. Let us be." Very large men surrounding them bursted into laughter. One stepped forward and replied in a deep gurgling voice, "We rescued you from the Palp Waters, my little ones." ' Or this: ' "I had to have it. It called to me like a flawless dame sprawled out for the taking." Hoggard proudly declared with pride.' This book has the potential to become a cult classic in the fantasy adventure genre. Buy it to read aloud, preferably accompanied by fine beer. |
