Biography

*NSYNC was a massively successful American boyband formed in 1995 who, in addition to hits like "It's Gonna Be Me" and "Girlfriend", provided a launch pad for Justin Timberlake, Lance Bass, JC Chasez, Joey Fatone and Chris Kirkpatrick, the band's founding members.

The impetus for the formation of the band was the success of Lou Pearlman's first act, the Backstreet Boys. *NSYNC's debut album, *NSYNCRead more in Amazon's *NSync Store

5.0 out of 5 stars Incredible Song!, January 22, 2003
This review is from: Gone / I'll Be Good for You (Audio CD)
When I first heard "Gone," I couldn't believe that NSYNC was performing it. "Gone" is such a soulful song that you can't help but be drawn to it. I give much credit to the writer of the track, Justin Timberlake, for taking NSYNC in a different direction that not only gave them more credibility in the music industry, but took them away from the bubblegum pop song that we had been so used to hearing from them in the past. I do, however, wish that the other members of the group could have had more participation in the song besides singing just the chorus, but it's a GREAT song nonetheless.

4.0 out of 5 stars Not too shabby, but not the greatest either..., November 2, 2001

I have to say that this is the one of the times I'm glad to be an *NSYNC fan and live in Australia. I LOVE this song, and so when the CD single came out here, I jumped on it. Now, before I continue, let me say again that I LOVE THIS SONG. But...I found the CD on the whole not quite what I'd expected. The radio edit just sounds plain wierd after you've heard the album version, and what is the deal with pop stars re-recording all their songs in Spanish?

And using 'I'll Be Good For You' as an extra song on the single? It wasn't even a bonus track on 'No Strings Attached'. For the 'Bye Bye Bye' single, they at least used a song that we'd never heard it before, namely 'Could It Be You'. Plus, with the three singles off 'NSA' we had instrumental versions, remixes of previous singles and unreleased songs too. Why not this time?

It just feels too me like they're slipping a little in their desire to put out music, trying to get it out too fast and the quality that we know and love them for doesn't quite get there. Don't get me wrong, I am the HUGEST fan of the boys, and I love all their songs, but this just isn't the quality I've come to expect from them. You should definately buy it, 'cause the songs rock, but I know they can do better.
